The Sewing Machine Beckoned...

After a week of lounging and "catching up" around the house (a job that is never completed), the sewing maching began to call my name. This time it called ALL the girls!

This fall when we were in Seattle, my whole family fell in love with the Ugly Dolls. http://www.uglydolls.com/
So the girls decided to make a version of their own. They designed, and I executed! Fun project!

What a Hussie

This is a picture of a stray my husband brought home a few months ago. She was cold and alone. We rescued her, and nursed her back to health. We have provided her with a warm loving home, and a daily ration of kibbles, and how does she repay us?????
She's a hussie. She snuck under the fence and did the nasty with the meanest German Shepherd on the block. I have a visual I still can't get out of my head. It might be some time until I'm right again. This may have occured because of her dysfunctional puppie-hood, or her lack of father figure, but all I can say is, "I better not have part German Shepherd, part Sharpe, part Jack Russell puppies in my near future"! Oh, wait I mean "designer puppies" for sale. :)

Lazy Day

I have filled all my Christmas orders. What a busy month it's been for me. So today I am doing nothing. And it sure feels GREAT! I should be making some Christmas gifts, but I'm out of momentum. Maybe tomorrow. Today I am leisurely enjoying my Adorn Magazine. What a great "indie crafter" magazine. Lots of resources and lots of ideas. http://www.adornmag.com/index2.php

Merry Christmas from the Family

Here are a few Christmas cards I've been working on. We gave them to the girls teachers.

I finally finished our family Christmas card. It's pretty cute if I do say so myself. With any luck I'll have them mailed before New Years! :)
