I wanted to make a post about the summer camps I have planned. I don't know where to add a link on my website. Any suggestions?

Burning the Midnight Oil

Life is pretty busy around here. Here's what's happn'n:

These Jed's Originals have all found new homes. I love to see them go. :)

This custom order is for a "new arrival". Onesie, burp cloth, and cards. What a lovely package??

These thank you cards are for kingsqrl. He recently graduated from LSU and needed some thank you notes, so his big sister hooked him up. The inside reads, "I"m NUTS about the ______________. " I'm not exactly how it happened but Ricky's "logo" is pretty much the squirrel.

These little shirts have new little men to wear them. One of which is heading to RedVelvet, we did a swap. Isn't Rachel's stuff adorable?

Mother's Day cards. The quote is from Hans Christian Anderson and it says, "Just living is not enough...One must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower." And thus...a handmade flower.

Here are some teacher thank you cards for the end of the year I did. Easy idea for teacher cards, right?

May is a huge month for birthdays in our family, so here are a few of the handmade cards I sent out this month. It was fun to make cards for the people I love. I just cut up magazines like a shredder, and went wild. I didn't have to worry about selling them, or copyright, or anything. I just had some fun. Who doesn't love original mail?? Even if it does cost $0.41 to mail a letter these days! Crikes!!

I'm really looking forward to summertime. I can almost smell the mingle of watermelon and SPF 50 in the air. School will be out, and some of my time will be my own. I would really love to pleasure sew. I have so many projects in my head. I have grand studio make-overs in my head too. I want shelves with fabric stacked to the sky. I want my sewing machine out like a statue, a permanent fixture. No more dragging it in and out of the closet.

Speaking of summer, check out this tasty dish from our summer garden. The zucchini is deli sh. The Squash is not too bad, but the skin is kind of tough. We have so many yummy tomatoes too! God bless my husband. There would be no garden this year if it wasn't for my tentative husband. (Who I've been married to for six years now, Happy Anniversary [yesterday].)

Everything Nice

I'm busy getting ready for summer camps. There are samples to make, registration sheets to deliver, and supplies to buy. I'm very excited! Jed's Summer Camps will have lots of cute projects and tons of even cuter kiddos.

Since I don't have much time I thougt I would just make a post of new things I love, and my latest findings on the world wide web!

Shopping for fabric (online):
Speaking of fabric I want to thank Vickie from Izzy B Boutique for the lovely scrap buffet she sent me. Check out her adorable dresses. The scraps she sent were like striking gold!
New things I love:
Heather Bailey's new fabric (Actually, I pretty much want to be Heather Bailey. I want her studio, I want to design fabric for a profession, I want 30 plus comments on my blog. Forgive me Lord, for I covet.)
Places I want to go:
I want to go to Make and take a Denyse Shmidt workshop
Looks like I need a trip to New York????!!!
Projects on the to do list:
Okay I have successfully lost an hour and a half of my life to this "short" post. :) Blogs-friend or foe?

Creative Juice

Now, if time weren't scarce, skill wasn't a limitation, and the sky was the limit, what would you make with these?

Option A

Option B

Dual Credit

Option C

Double Trouble

We may not have the time to make anything amazing this week, but we can certainly dream about it. If any of these fabrics make you want to sew or decorate leave a comment. :) Sarah

PS Because these are way overdue, and their adoring public awaits. The girls at Easter.

Happy Birthday

Today is my twin brother's birthday! It's so exciting when his birthday comes. It's my favorite day of the year.

He's amazing, and we've pretty much been best friends ever since I shared a womb with him (sorry mom). There were bouts of sibling rivalry, mostly spurred from his core belief that I was the "Danny Divito", aka "the genetic crap", and he was the Arnold. But all is mended. These days we DON'T hold hands by the lake, but our families DO try to get together as often as we can. He has a beautiful family, and he's pretty much a hero. He saves lives in the Cost Guard.

On that note check out what I got him for his birthday. Keep in mind he will swim with sharks-no big deal- but he LOATHES octopus.

Here we are to date. Do we look like twins? One things for certain...I got all the muscles!

And if being twins isn't cool enough. We have identical twin nieces born on our birthday. Yes the exact same day. Our families celebrate 4 birthdays on one day. Does somebody know the odds of that? I wonder if that's Guinness Book type stats??

So happy birthday to you, bro, and to the girlies. (And to me!)
