Mother's Day Out

Usually I spend my two days of "mother's day out" to stay in and work. I've been so busy lately filling orders and catching up on business: mother has NOT had a day OUT in a while. So I decided to take the day off today. I went to Old Town Spring and did some fun window shopping. It's a charming little historic village filled with darling overpriced unnecessary items.

The day was gorgeous, the sky was so blue, the breeze was cool, the sun was warm. Perfect. I wasn't pushing a stroller, or counting 1,2,3 for a rebellious toddler to stay close by. Fabulous.

I was enjoying the amazing pipes of Ms. Patty Griffin on the ipod. A beautiful female, Texas musician.

My top fav's from the 1000 Kisses CD: Chief, Long Ride Home, & Making Pies. Then from the Impossible Dream CD: Love Throws a Line, & Top of the World

It was a lovely day. My batteries are recharged, and my creative juices are flowing. I have so many projects swirling in my brain again. I have (a few) extra patience for my children. My advice: All work and no play makes Jill a dull girl. So if you get the chance, take the luxury of a day off!
